Victor Koo (古永锵), founder and CEO, is one of the few veterans of China’s Internet portals who have gone on to create successful start-ups. For six years, Mr. Koo served as COO, CFO, and finally President of one of China’s leading portals, Sohu.com, helping to grow the company from a start-up to a listed Internet company and one of the most important media properties in China. Born in Hong Kong, educated in Australia and the United States, Mr. Koo has lived in China since 1994. Prior to joining Sohu, Mr. Koo worked at Richina, a venture investment firm. He is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and Stanford Business School.

Liu Dele (刘德乐), CFO, has 10 years of experience in private equity investment in China. Prior to joining Youku, he was vice president of Power Corporation’s Asian division, which manages a portfolio of $500 million in China, including two NASDAQ-listed firms. Mr. Liu graduated from the Executive Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Shanghai Maritime University. He has served on the board of directors of a number of private companies.

Yao Jian (姚键), CTO, is a seasoned network technologist with extensive experience managing large websites and server networks in China. He was previously vice president of technology of Sino Credit Technologies, a leading credit card marketing portal in China. Before joining Sino Credit, Mr. Yao was director of technology at TOL24.com, an e-learning subsidiary of New Oriental School. Prior to that, Mr. Yao was head of network operations at Sohu.com, responsible for 24-7 operational maintenance of Sohu.com. Mr. Yao is a graduate of Southwest Jiaotong University.
